Bill Idol, Joey Ramone, Tommy Lee, and more rockers are transformed into mutant beasties in Jason Edmiston’s Monsters of Rock paintings. Whatever radioactive substance made them this way has not been kind to Axl Rose.
I suppose someone who believes that rock music is the path to devil worship might actually imagine these rock stars as disfigured monsters. The rockers, for their part, look pretty comfortable with their tentacles and fangs.
If you’re in the Long Beach, CA, area, you can swing by Phone Booth Gallery before May 8th to see the paintings in person.

To stop tattooing because I was sick of my artwork not being appreciated as it should of been. I know what I can and can’t do in the means of artwork. I know I’m not the best artist, but I know that what I can do, I do it well.
I’m not going to make a career out of doing tiny bullshit tattoos people only want because they think we’re friends or because I’m new to the industry and that I can “hook them up”. That mentality that i had previously can only last for so long, and honey that ship sailed long ago.
People get mad because I hold myself and my artwork to a higher standard and level of respect than they seem to think is right. It’s infuriating. I’d love to share my REAL artwork with the world. Not the tribal bullshit and terrible giant black and gray flowers people think are cool.
I’m done. I am keeping my artwork for myself and those closest to me, for the rest of my life. I’m just tired of being taken advantage of by those who think its alright to do so.
I’m happy that she has a giant unfinished tattoo, she earned every bit of it. And I am SO happy that I never have to deal with any more stupid requests from people I could give a shit about.
And thats what happens when I think about my old life. It’s so toxic, I know I made the healthier choice.

- Society: You need to have boobs the size of Canada, an ass that will put Nicki Minaj to shame, perfect porcelain skin without a single blemish, straight white teeth that will blind somebody that looks at them without sunglasses, hair that is thick and flows like a waterfall made of rainbows and unicorn tears, eyelashes that will touch your forehead and look natural doing it, soft hairless skin, and a smolder that will fry a chicken in a basket. You also have to be a size 00 because guys love it when they can see your ribcage.

But I was just talking to a friend of mine in Nevada.. Like a lot of folks I know up there she’s never done any drugs in her life, but not necessarily because she didn’t want to. She’s been curious before, but never felt like she was in a safe environment to try anything. She just wants to smoke pot, but feels weird buying it for herself since she’s never done it and she just feels awkward. But apparently everyone in our group of friends sees me as the Friendly Stoner, and she finally got up the courage to ask me if she could join me in this when I move home. I felt honored as privileged. Like its not a big deal, almost everyone and their mother smokes pot these days. But for someone who has always felt unsafe, but still curious, I’m really happy she came to trust me with her little decision. I absolutely agreed! I hope I can help more friends in this way, & hopefully get rid of the taboo or stigma they have about society’s recreational drugs.
Mer. I think too much on these things. I’m just happy to help her out :)
